In our family I am usually the chauffer. I take the kids to school and back, I drop them at music class and drive them to the park. I end up spending more and more time with the kids because my wife, who is a career woman, has more limitation on her free time. But sometimes, she also wants to be involved and this time she decided that she will take them to their swim class. I had no problems and was happy to have some free time.
The swimming classes are once a week on Wednesdays at 5PM. First time she takes them out everything is fine but the next morning she tells me she had a nightmare. She dreamt she saw the kids drowning. I am assuming it is a one time thingy as a result of their first time in the pool, but I am wrong. From that day on, every once in a while, she continues to have the same nightmares. After about 3 weeks or so I understand that she is very stressed at the fact that she is taking them to their swimming classes. Since I do not like to see her this way, I suggest that I take on this assignment and take them to the pool instead.
Just like that, almost over night, she stops having these recurring nightmares and I am happy I can spend some more time with my little ones and also care for the little wife.
